1. Who can join
Anyone with a bh account can join, including free accounts. Staff and test accounts are excluded. Accept these terms and choose a permanent referral code in your account. There is no guarantee of earnings.
2. How referrals are counted
A valid link sets a 7-day first-click cookie. An unexpired cookie is never replaced or refreshed by another click. We permanently count a referral only when a new account is created during that window, or a code is entered at signup. An entered code beats the link parameter, which beats the cookie. Existing accounts and deleted accounts that rejoin cannot be newly attributed. Codes cannot be added after signup or reassigned.
3. What you earn
You earn 20% of net revenue after payment processing fees on each paid USD invoice from an eligible referred customer, for as long as they keep paying. Free accounts earn nothing until they pay. Net is the amount paid excluding tax, after any discount, minus the card processing fee. We prorate that fee to exclude the tax share. Hosting plans and Dedicated IP add-on revenue count. Payout fees are our cost.
Hypothetical example: $11.00 paid − $1.00 tax − $0.59 prorated processing fee = $9.41 net; 20% of that is $1.88 commission. Refunds reverse commission in proportion to the refunded share.
4. What referred customers get
Referred customers get 10% off the first month of a monthly hosting plan, once per account. It applies to the hosting plan line only, never add-ons or yearly plans. A customer keeps this benefit if their referrer is later banned.
5. Hold, minimum and payouts
Earnings stay Pending for 30 days, then become Available. The minimum withdrawal is $10.00; smaller balances roll over. The planned monthly payment date is the 5th, for balances Available by the previous month end, net of negative balances. Stripe Connect Express provides hosted payout setup, bank payouts and tax forms. Stripe payouts are available only to US affiliates at launch and require completed setup and our first-payout approval. We cover Connect fees. A paused affiliate is not paid; banning forfeits unpaid earnings. Staff may record an approved manual payment for non-Connect cases after sending it. Tax and bank details stay with Stripe.
6. Refunds, chargebacks and clawbacks
A refund or chargeback can reduce unpaid commission or create a negative balance that offsets future earnings. A dispute reverses the affected commission. A won dispute reinstates the amount still earned after any other reversal. Already counted earnings may be recovered from future earnings; we never reverse more than the commission on the affected share.
7. Self-referral and prohibited promotion
Self-referral earns no commission. We compare account identity, normalized email, Discord identity, Stripe customer and card fingerprint. Shared IPs are review signals only. Do not bid on bh brand names or misspellings in paid search; spam or send mass DMs; post fake reviews; use coupon or cashback sites; invent discounts; pay people to sign up; or share your commission as an incentive.
8. Disclosure requirements
Clearly disclose the paid relationship wherever you share a link or code. For example: “This is an affiliate link.” Keep the disclosure in copied messages. Never promise or imply income. You may describe only the customer discount actually offered.
9. Taxes
You are responsible for your taxes on commission. Any required tax information must be supplied before a payment can be made.
10. Payments through Stripe
Payments are intended to use Stripe when that service becomes available. Stripe's applicable terms will apply. Do not provide bank details to bh through the referral page. Countries not supported by the payout service may require a manual payment or may need to wait for support.
11. Changes to the program
We may change commission rates with 30 days' notice. Earned commission is not cut retroactively, except for fraud or clawbacks under these rules.
12. Ending participation and forfeiture
We may pause participation or ban prohibited promotion. A paused or banned affiliate earns no new commission. Banning forfeits unpaid earnings. Existing attributions stay recorded, and earning can resume after a pause is lifted. A code cannot be renamed.
13. Cookies and privacy
The first-party bh_aff cookie is set only after a referral link click, lasts 7 days and contains a code and the first-click time with an integrity signature. It is not shared with advertisers. You can delete it or remove the code at signup. Links and signup codes can still work when cookies are unavailable.
We keep daily aggregate click counts. Unique visits use a daily salted hash, removed after 30 days. Keyed signup IP hashes are review signals only, and card fingerprints are compared through keyed hashes. We do not expose customer names or emails to affiliates. See our Privacy Policy.
