About this bot
Give your community repeatable games rather than a one-off ping command. Players can start trivia rounds, build streaks, and compare saved scores and profiles. The upstream bot also includes duels, tournaments, and administrative commands. Questions come from the free Open Trivia Database; availability and rate limits of that service apply. Scores are kept in a local SQLite database. Adapted from Fr4ct4l’s MIT-licensed Trivia Bot, with source attribution retained. Setup and support
Invite the bot with bot and applications.commands scopes. Supply BOT_TOKEN and your server ID, then start it. Run /help and /trivia play, answer a question, and check the player profile and leaderboard. This bot uses the free Open Trivia Database, so it needs outbound access to opentdb.com. Start with a small group and allow for API rate limits. Free hosting follows the platform’s weekly renewal and one-active-Free-slot policy.
